Abstract. The article contains an assessment of the conditions for fulfilling the task set out in Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 05/07/2024 No. 309 «On the National Development Goals of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 and for the future up to 2036», according to which the Russian Federation will become one of the 25 leading countries in the world in terms of robotics density by 2030. It is shown that in order to achieve this goal, while maintaining the main trends in the development of the global industrial robotics market with quantitative indicators given in IFR statistical reports, the operational fleet of robots in the domestic manufacturing sector should increase by at least 150 thousand units with a CAGR of 44% over 7 years (2024-2030). As one of the ways to solve this problem, it is proposed to further focus the development of existing industrialized regions of Russia while simultaneously creating cooperative relationships with enterprises in other regions. The importance of approving a strategic system document in the field of robotics for the long term is also emphasized - the Strategy for the Development of Robotics in the Russian Federation, which will lay the necessary foundation for the implementation of national goals and programs, and will also ensure the comprehensive and intersectoral use of the potential of robotics in order to achieve the priority tasks of the socio-economic development of the Russian Federation.

Key words: industrial robotics, density of robotics, operational stock of industrial robots
