Subject of the journal
The remit of journal is coverage of the latest scientific and technical achievements in the field of robotics and technical cybernetics along with related branches of knowledge. Great attention is payed to the publication of analytical articles and reviews as well as materials of polemical character.

Journal "Robotics and Technical Cybernetics" is issued by Russian State Scientific Center for Robotics and Technical Cybernetics (RTC)
which is one of the largest research centers of Russia. RTC was founded on January 29, 1968 on the basis of Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University nowadays).
The activities of the Center are concentrated in spheres of research, development and creation of space, aerial, ground-based and aquatorial means of robotics and technical cybernetics. The Center has its own production capabilities, research and specialized test benches. One of departments of Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University are functioning on the basis of the RTC, and there are also regional, all-Russian and international seminars and conferences regularly held in by the Center.
