INTEGRATION OF ODOMETER AND TV-CAMERA FOR MOBILE ROBOT LOCALIZATION

Abstract
Localization is a definition of robot's current coordinates. In this paper we propose to use the sensor wheel (odometer) with tv-camera and integrated data processing for this purpose. This approach to the image processing is more stable than existing approaches, where a choice of some specific points on the image and tracking and recognition of these points at each control cycle is performed.
