Abstract
The article is devoted to the issues of determining the flight altitude of a reconnaissance UAV, taking into account the appearance of smudge in the images generated by the stereo pair. Two optimization problems have been formed and solved: (1) determining the optimal dependence of altitude on flight speed at which the total image size reaches a minimum; (2) determination of the optimal dependence of the operating indicator b on the height at which the average integral value of the lubricant reaches a minimum. These tasks were solved using the method of unconditional variational optimization. The conditions under which the total image size reaches a minimum are investigated. The optimal operating ratios have been determined, under which it is possible to improve the qualitative and quantitative indicators of UAV-based search and detection systems.
