Abstract
The article discusses the prospects for the use of self-organizing wireless networks for transfer the urgent messages to the server. The transmitting is carried out using multiprotocol unit that is the telematics device with multiple wireless interfaces. Modeling the transfer of urgent messages using multiprotocol units shows that increasing the number of transmission routes substantially increases the probability of message delivery for all ranges of vehicle speed. Key issue is integration of mobile networks MANET and VANET resourses with regional infrastructure, implicating contact with traffic management service, roadside services and transport manufactorers portals. That kind of integration is achieved by searching the nearby transport vehicles – clients of specified services without the use of connection to the wide area networks. Current trends of information services extension also include solving of following network infrastructure problems:
- creation of cross-functional reconfigurable wireless devices, adaptable to the specific of multi-protocol net points and providing consistence of data transmission standarts in local and global networks;
- applying of algorithms for mobile network traffic unloading through Wi-Fi hotspots, ensuring networks capacity growth;
- duplication of transfer of ERA-GLONASS and E-CALL priority messages through independent networks;
- technology DSRC and protocol 802.11k utilization for better radio resource control and weak signal identification in the Wi-Fi fridge reception area;
- elaboration of standart 802.11ас for curtailing expenditure and provision of mobile devices high-speed junction service.
The results of carried out investigations are of doubtless interest particularly evolving the system of mobile robots group control. Research was supported by grant project of Ford Motors company. Article publishing was supported by Russian Foundation for Basic Research, grant 13-07—12106.
