Abstract
Automation of formation processes for high-rate laser duplex communication in space ensures preconditions for creation of orbital adaptive optical network. Communication terminals can be based on low-orbital satellites with an equipment of remote Earth sounding, geosynchronous platforms, or even manned ships. Suggested automation algorithms for terminal pointing, capture and guiding of a correspondent provide total refuse from handle control at all operation stages for the space optical communication line under development.

Key words
Space optical communication line, automation, pointing, capture and guiding, correspondent, orientation and navigation.
